  • This grant program supports most direct costs associated with proposed travel and residency related expenses. These costs include, but are not limited to, airfare, transportation, meals, artist supplies, residency costs and living expenses. LIAEP award requests are limited to a maximum of $6,000 US currency per applicant.
  • We do not fund the following:
  1. Reimbursement for prior travel.
  2. Student travel.
  3. Shipping of art.
  4. Equipment purchases.
  5. Exhibition costs.

  • Applications will only be considered when complete, including all supporting letters. REPEAT: COMPLETE ALL SECTIONS OR WE CANNOT REVIEW YOUR APPLICATION.
  • The process is competitive, and LIAEP is not able to fund all applicants.
  • It is sometimes difficult for us to transfer funds to some countries. It's a lot easier for us to work with/reimburse a US host institution. That is not a requirement, just a reality.
  • Visas, appropriate permits for country of destination and all other such documents are the responsibility of applicant.
  • LIAEP bears no responsibility for grant recipients.
  • Award notification will be sent by March 25, 2019.
  • Awardees are required to submit a written report with photographs regarding their experience and how funds were actually used.
  • LIAEP will contact submitter for additional information as and if needed.
